TUESDAY EVENING

I FINALLY STARTED SEEING LOTS OF BUGS ON THE RIVER, AND THE FISH ARE EATING. GOT A FREAK ON A BLACK COPPER JOHN THAT RAN ME AT LEAST A HUNDRED YARDS DOWN THE RIVER. I FELT LIKE I WAS STEELHEADING, RUNNING DOWN STREAM WITH MY ROD ABOVE MY HEAD, TRIPPING OVER ROCKS. MY HEART RACING A HUNDRED MILES AN HOUR AND BETWEEN THE SIZE OF THE TROUT AND THE BOULDERS IN THE RAPIDS THE 5X I WAS FISHING SNAPPED AND OL SNORT WAS A MEMORY. THAT WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE BIGGEST TROUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN INTO. YOU CANT LAND EM ALL I GUESS, BUT I DID MANAGE A COUPLE MORE THAT EVENING ON YELLOW STONES.

  1. any fish that plays a part in snapping a rod is worthy of a fish story. Wish you could have landed it but its still out there for next time. Good job
